We are excited to invite you to participate in our Pediatric Special Interest Group Study titled "The Use of OMT in the Treatment of Anxiety in Adolescents: A Retrospective Analysis" (Research Team: Arlene Dijamco, Principal Investigator; Corey Luebbering, Brian Degenhardt, Jessica Di Nizio, Volker Schmidt, Hans-Joachim Kirlum, and Tom Greenfield, Co-investigators).
The purpose of this retrospective study is to 1) investigate the frequency in which osteopathy clinicians currently use OMT in the treatment of adolescent anxiety, and 2) determine which OMT modalities and techniques are used in that treatment of anxiety.
If you agree to participate, you will participate in a retrospective analysis of your medical records in conjunction with the research study coordinator. The requested data from your medical records is information on all adolescent patients 1) within the past year if you have a searchable electronic medical record; or 2) within a 2 month time period within the past year if you do not have a searchable electronic medical record.
The data collection tool for each medical record contains a maximum of 11 questions. Our research coordinator will work with you or assist you with data entry for this project and this will be discussed in the meeting with the coordinator upon signing up to participate in the study.
The information in the survey is anonymous for both you and your patient, so this card study complies with current data protection regulations around the world, including the GDPR in Europe and the LGPD in Brazil.
